The Qatar Committee for Reconstruction of Gaza will begin disbursing monthly cash assistance to the needy families in the Gaza Strip for July today in co-operation with the Qatar Fund for Development.
HE the committee chairman, ambassador Mohamed al-Emadi, said that about 100,000 needy families in the governorates of the Gaza Strip will receive $100 each.
He pointed out that the distribution will be done through the United Nations which has identified more than 300 centres and shops in the governorates.
Qatar disburses a monthly humanitarian grant to support Palestinian families in the Gaza Strip, who are suffering from the difficult economic and living conditions caused by the Israeli siege.
