The Ministry of Endowments (Awqaf) and Islamic Affairs issued the Qatari calendar book for the year 1444 AH (2022-2023).
The ministry reported that the calendar, prepared by the ministry's Department of Research and Islamic Studies, will be distributed to the public starting from Sunday, Dhul-Hijjah 25, 1443 AH, July 24, 2022, in the building of the Sheikh Ali bin Abdullah Al-Thani Library in Umm Ghuwailina district.
The new calendar contains the times of worship during the months of the Hijri year, which facilitates the performance of the worship, as well as the climatic conditions for each month, which facilitate people's everyday affairs.
It also contains some of the listed relics and virtues for the months and days, and related acts of worship, some supplications (adhkar) for the day and night, in addition to warning against some heresies and superstitions in which some people fall.
Furthermore, the notebook calendar includes some provisions of the jurisprudence of worship, parts of the prophetic biography, the rightly-guided caliphate, horoscopes and zodiac and the reason for naming them, the usefulness of their knowledge, the times of planting seeds, cereals, flowers, cutting trees, palm fronds, and information about some diseases related to ploughing and farming.
