The Shura Council participated on Monday in the inauguration of the Permanent Office of the High-level Parliamentary Group on Science and Technology (HPGST) of the Arab Parliament, and the accompanying meeting in Amman, Jordan.
HE the Shura Council member and member of the HPGST Dr Ahmed bin Hamad al-Muhannadi represented the Council at the inauguration and the meeting.
The meeting discussed the group's work strategy during the coming period, which aims to establish the first Arab parliamentary network in science and technology to build bridges of co-operation and co-ordination and support the use of modern digital technologies in Arab parliaments.
The group aims to promote Arab parliamentary complementarity, unify opinions in international parliamentary meetings, and stimulate interest in science and technology in the Arab world as an essential tool for pioneering the future.
