Various groups of Qatari pilgrims will return Wednesday to the country after performing Haj in Makkah. The last group is set to return Thursday.
The pilgrims, according to a statement from the Ministry of Endowments and Islamic Affairs (Awqaf) were thankful and expressed their happiness for getting the opportunity to perform Haj with ease.



Awqaf's Haj and Umrah Department head Ali Sultan al-Misifri praised the efforts made by Saudi Arabia to receive the pilgrims and the arrangements made to serve the pilgrims. The official, who expressed his deep appreciation to the Saudi government and noted that the pilgrims were well served and their security and safety ensured.
Al-Misifri also praised the co-operation of the Saudi Ministry of Haj and Umrah and the Tawafa Company for Pilgrims of the South Asian Countries. There was great co-operation between the Qatari mission and the two parties in making the arrangements in Makkah and the holy sites in Mina, Arafa and Muzdalifah for the pilgrims, he said.
“This year's Haj season was distinguished and exceptional for Qatari pilgrims with all arrangements in place for the completion of all the rituals easily,” he said. The preparations for the next Haj season will be done taking into consideration any proposals from pilgrims and Haj operators so as to further improve the services and amenities.



Al-Misifri credited the efforts of the Qatari Haj mission, with the continuous support and follow-up of HE the Minister of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs, for the largest role in managing the affairs of Qatar's pilgrims through direct co-ordination with the Tawafa Company for South Asian pilgrims to fully equip the camps of Mina and Arafat with the best capabilities.
"There was co-ordination and co-operation with the Saudi security authorities and these provided most of the facilities and assistance to Qatari pilgrims during all rituals and phases of Haj,” he said. The official Qatari Haj delegation will leave Makkah Thursday after completing all operations and all Qatari pilgrims leave the holy city.
The Awqaf statement pointed out that the Qatari Haj mission this year adopted a new system to provide the best services in the holy sites in Mina and Arafa for all Qatari operators. There was co-ordination with one of the largest companies specialised in providing all the services for pilgrims. Camps were prepared according to the highest standards while providing air conditioning, food, bedding, toilets and places for ablutions along with other facilities. Seating was arranged for all pilgrims while providing an adequate number of male and female volunteers for men and women pilgrims.
The mission also prepared, in coordination with the Tawafa Company for South Asian pilgrims, five dining halls in the Mina camps, with three for men and two for women and providing a buffet. Each dining hall contained a corner for hot drinks and separate refrigerators for dairy, soft drinks, juices, and water.
