Katara Saturday received a large number of visitors, on the first day of Eid al-Adha, as people turned up at the Cultural Village to attend and participate in the activities and events lined up there.
According to a press statement from Katara, theatrical performances were presented in Building 18 with the participation of a large group of children who also attended various artistic workshops amid an atmosphere of happiness and joy.











The visitors enjoyed all the activities and events that included painting and clouring workshops, balloon formation, cartoon character shows, ceramic painting in addition to games. The children took part in the shows while interacting with the artists, applauding and singing.
The kids attended four plays - 'Friends of Nature', 'Forest Animals', a silent play and a shadow theatre show.

At the main entrances of Katara, special gifts were distributed among children inside vehicles and the gift distribution will continue in the coming days.
Katara Beach also received many sea and swimming enthusiasts while providing all amenities and recreational options.
On Sunday, the Al Thuraya Planetarium shows will be launched in Building 41, which will present a series of entertainment and educational films throughout the days of Eid al-Adha, with three shows per day.
The 'Polaris' show will start at 5pm, the 'Stars' show will begin at 6pm, and the display of planets on the 'Milky Way' will kick off at 7pm.
