Qatar's Inland Sea has been named among the 100 best beaches in the world by BeachAtlas, a London-based startup that collects data about beaches. Inland Sea is ranked No 23 on the list.
"With its unique position, Inland Sea beach has developed a rather astonishing ecosystem, combining both aspects of the desert dunes and sea front views. The shores of Inland Sea beach are rich with natural and cultural history," a short description of the beach says. Bora Bora in French Polynesia is ranked No 1 on the list.
