The Sharia Unit of the Qatari Haj Mission held a meeting with the religious instructors who are escorting the Qatari Haj campaigns to offer religious guidance to the pilgrims of Qatar, prior to Haj rites which begin Thursday, 8th of Dhul-Hijjah.
The Director of Haj mission, Ali bin Sultan al-Misifri, said that Qatar is doing everything to facilitate the performance of the fifth pillar of Islam for Qatari pilgrims.
He directed the religious instructors to co-operate with pilgrims during their performance of Haj rites while they stay in the camps of the holy sites, and to further implore the pilgrims to utilise Haj Guide application rolled out by the Haj mission which has multiple features and operates on smartphones to be a companion for the pilgrim on the Haj journey, since the application offers detailed and streamlined explanations on how to perform pilgrimage rites, including multiple selected Fatwas to answer the potential inquiries raised by pilgrims.
The application also offers beneficial package of instructions to expedite the blessed Haj journey for the pilgrims, in addition to providing interactive addresses and map that manifestly pinpointing the location of Qatari campaigns for the pilgrims.
He indicated that the application offers free communication for every pilgrim who brings Qatari or Saudi mobile cell phone chips to further contact with the mission inside Saudi Arabia via the number (8003040444), in addition to the feature of sending the pilgrims location in case of requesting assistance in normal and critical cases, and it is also linked to the call center and the unified support for pilgrims in the country.
The head of the Sharia Unit Mohamed Mahmoud al-Mahmoud said that the conditions in the Qatari Haj campaigns are promising, in terms of Sharia perspectives, indicating that the plan for performing the religious rites is going well and more expeditiously which would expedite the performance of Haj rites for the Qatari pilgrims.
He reviewed a number of issues and problems pertaining to jurisprudence that were presented to the instructors during the past period with the objective of solving them based on Sharia perspective and exploring the appropriate Sharia opinion on these matters.
