  * Sales phase golden opportunity to buy tickets: official

Tickets for the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 will be back on sale from Tuesday until August 16. This time, tickets for the first FIFA World Cup in the Middle East and Arab world will be sold on a first-come, first-served basis, allowing fans to confirm their purchase immediately after making their selection and processing the payment. The new sales period opens via FIFA.com/tickets at 12 noon in Doha Tuesday.
Individual Match Tickets will be available across all four price categories, with Category 4 tickets reserved for residents of Qatar. Fans will be able to purchase up to six tickets per match and a maximum of 60 across the entire tournament. There is also the opportunity to attend more than one group game on the same day at the beginning of the tournament in line with the match compatibility rules. Disabled people and people with limited mobility are entitled to a dedicated allocation of Accessibility Tickets.
One can visit the FAQs section at FIFA.com/tickets for more information about the ticketing products and price categories. To book accommodation and apply for a Hayya Card, one has to visit Qatar2022.qa
With all 32 qualifying teams now confirmed for Qatar, huge worldwide interest is anticipated in the new sales period, which will close on August 16 at 12 noon in Doha.
Meanwhile, Hassan Rabia al-Kuwari, executive director of Sales, Marketing and Communication, FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022, said the latest ticket sales phase marks a golden opportunity to get hold of a match ticket. This is because tickets are limited, and around 1.8mn tickets have been sold in the previous phases, Qatar News Agency (QNA) reports.
The official explained that this sales phase comprises the majority of World Cup tickets to be sold, adding that 40.5mn ticket requests were received in the previous phases.
Al-Kuwari warned against fraud websites, stressing that there is only one website through which one can purchase tickets - FIFA.com/tickets
Further, he explained that tickets will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis, and ticket purchases will be processed as real-time transactions subject to availability. All successfully purchased tickets will be confirmed immediately to the ticket applicants.
Fans coming from outside Qatar will be able to use the digital Hayya Card as an entry visa to the country. Also, as a rule, all fans coming from abroad must confirm their stay plans after purchasing their tickets, in order to enter Qatar and gain access to stadiums.
As for one-day fans, they are also required to obtain a Hayya Card as a permit to enter the country. However, there is no need to provide an accommodation reservation. In order to activate a Hayya Card, one must meet a number of these requirements: obtaining match tickets and booking a return flight ticket.
