HE the Deputy Speaker of Shura Council Dr Hamda bint Hassan al-Sulaiti confirmed that what has been accomplished by the Shura Council during the first legislative term, corresponding to the Shura Council's 50th annual session came thanks to the unlimited support from the wise leadership and its great commitment to promoting the popular involvement in decision-making process.
HE the Deputy Speaker expressed her thanks and gratitude to His Highness the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani on the occasion of the end of the session, lauding the constructive co-operation between the Council and the esteemed government, in addition to the fruitful responses from the entire concerned authorities pertaining to the topics discussed by the Council during its session, spotlighting the efforts made by HE the Speaker of Shura Council, and its members, whether during the plenary sessions, or during the meetings of the committees that have made appreciable efforts during the discussion of what is submitted from the Council, based on their great commitment to achieving the interest of the country and citizens.
HE Dr Hamda bint Hassan al-Sulaiti also lauded the efforts made by the General Secretariat for the sake of fostering the legislative process carried out by the Council, indicating that the integration between the concerned authorities has substantially contributed to accomplishing all drafts of laws reviewed by the council during the past period, including the Council's participation in the international parliamentary arenas, pointing out that the participation of the council's members in those arenas had prominent attendance at the entire levels, in addition to the concrete impact, explaining that Shura Council managed to occupy a premium position during these effective participations through wining further memberships in committees, including regional and international parliamentary associations.
