The Ministry of Commerce and Industry, in co-operation with Doha Marketing Services Company (Domasco), Qatar’s Honda bikes dealership, has announced a recall of the Honda CBR1000RR-R, 2022 model, due to a possible oil leak from oil cooler pipe, which may lead to smoke emission from the engine.
Also, the MoCI, in co-operation with Alfardan Automobiles, Qatar’s Triumph bikes dealership, has announced a recall of the Triumph Speed Triple R and Speed Triple RS - Cafe Racer, 2022 model, due to a loose rear brake bolt thread, which destabilises the rear wheel.
The MoCI said the recall campaigns come within the framework of its ongoing efforts to protect consumers and ensure that dealers follow up on vehicle defects and repairs.
The ministry will co-ordinate with the dealers to follow up on the maintenance and repair works and will communicate with customers to ensure that the necessary repairs are carried out.
The MoCI has urged all customers to report any violations to its Consumer Protection and Anti-Commercial Fraud Department, which processes complaints, enquiries and suggestions through the call centre: 16001; e-mail: [email protected]; Twitter: @MOCIQATAR; Instagram: MOCIQATAR; and the ministry’s mobile application available on iPhone and Android devices: MOCI_QATAR
