A number of Argentina football team supporters attended the celebration of Lionel Messi's birthday near the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 countdown clock on the Doha Corniche.
Indian Sports Centre managing committee member Varkey Boban unveiled the logo of Argentina Fans Qatar in the presence of Marcelo, a citizen of Argentina and a huge supporter of his country's national football team.
Messi's birthday was celebrated by cutting a cake designed as an Argentina flag and with a photograph of Messi on it. Hundreds of fans had turned up in the Argentina jersey. The organisers said they will go ahead with different events to support the Argentina team in the upcoming World Cup in Doha.
