HE Minister of Municipality Abdullah bin Abdulaziz bin Turki Al Subaie met Tuesday with the owners of the productive Qatari farms within the framework of the constant consultative meetings being held by His Excellency with the local producers pertaining to the development of the local agricultural production.
During the meeting, HE Minister of Municipality briefed the owners of farms on a range of initiatives and programs that have been adopted by the Ministry of Municipality to subsidize the productive farms, underscoring the great interest of the state of Qatar to support the agricultural sector for the sake of achieving food security.
He affirmed the ministry's constant support to farms owners in the pursuit of eliminating the constraints and challenges facing the agricultural production, lauding the paradigm shift that has been witnessed by the Qatari farms during the recent years in agricultural production sphere, including the utilization of the state-of-the-art technologies in agriculture.
For their part, the farms owners lauded the strenuous efforts being exerted by the Ministry of Municipality to support the local products through numerous initiatives and programs in agriculture, irrigations and marketing spheres in supermarkets.
