The Public Works Authority (Ashghal) has announced an eight-hour closure on Al Wakra Road towards Al Wakra, including Al Wakra Tunnel and Al Wakra Intersection, and the diversion of traffic to Al Wakra New Road on Friday from 2am to 10am. This will be done in co-ordination with the General Directorate of Traffic. During the closure, which will be implemented for gantry installation as part of the Al Wakra Main Road project, road users travelling from Doha towards Al Wakra can turn right towards Barwa Village, then turn left onto Al Wakra New Road and follow traffic signs to reach their destinations, Ashghal has said.
