The General Directorate of Traffic has said it is prohibited to copy and install the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 logo on vehicle number plates.
This was highlighted by the Ministry of Interior (MoI) in an announcement on the "terms and conditions of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 logo on vehicles number plates" Sunday.
"The General Directorate of Traffic states that the plates plates containing the World Cup logo are a special version that are issued according to specific terms and conditions in co-ordination with FIFA, for newly registered vehicles and for auctioned special number plates only," the MoI announcement said.
"It is prohibited to copy and install the World Cup logo on the vehicle number plate. Anyone who violates this will be exposed to legal accountability and referred to the authorities to take legal measures against them," it added.
