The Cultural Village Foundation Katara announced the launch of new series of summer workshops during July targeting 8 to 13-year old children.
The two workshops are intended to focus on a myriad of artistic fields, prepared by artist Jamila Al Ansari at Katara Art Studios Building 19, where the first workshop, Making Watercolor Fish, will be held on July 1, and the second workshop, Summer Flowers Workshop, is set to be held on July 3 from 5pm to 6:30 pm.
A workshop on the Basics of Landscape Painting by artist Hanifa Abdel Qader will be held from July 5 to 7 and over a period of 3 days, at Katara Art Studios Building 19, from 5pm to 7pm, for the age group from 8 to 13 years.
The specialized workshops that Katara launches during the summer vacation are very popular with school students at different academic levels. By organizing these workshops, Katara seeks to nurture the artistic and manual skills of children, discover artistic talents from an early age, and present, in addition to providing the necessary care to ensure their progress.
Katara had launched a host of summer workshops this June, including a workshop for training on designing a stamp and postcard, and a workshop to teach the art of puppet making, which includes teaching how to make hand and thread puppets, in addition to teaching the art of dramatic games and kinetic expression, verbal and facial expressions, and a workshop specialized in teaching Arabic calligraphy, as well as artistic workshops launched by the Al Thuraya Dome, which extended for a month, with two workshops per week.
