Qatar participated yesterday in the meeting of GCC Trade Co-operation Committee, held at the headquarters of the GCC General Secretariat in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. HE the Undersecretary of Ministry of Commerce and Industry Sultan bin Rashid al-Khater headed Qatar's delegation to this meeting. A wide range of topics and issues of common interest were discussed, including those related to trade co-operation between GCC and the recommendations submitted by the preparatory meetings for the undersecretaries of the ministries of commerce in the GCC countries and taking the appropriate decisions regarding them. HE al-Khater also participated in the joint meeting between ministers of commerce in the GCC countries with Secretary of State for International Trade in the United Kingdom Anne-Marie Belinda Trevelyan. On the other hand, HE the Undersecretary of Ministry of Commerce and Industry attended the signing ceremony for the launch of the FTA negotiations between GCC countries, United Kingdom and Northern Ireland, which was signed by Secretary General of the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf Dr Nayef Falah M al-Hajraf and Secretary of State for International Trade in the United Kingdom Anne-Marie Belinda Trevelyan.
