As part of the preparations for Eid al-Adha holidays, the health control section at Doha Municipality has intensified its inspection and awareness campaign targeting all food outlets, retailers and organisations across its jurisdiction.
The campaigns started on June 12 and the first phase focused on the major food organisations, factories, hotels, hypermarkets, and other complexes, with 778 inspection and awareness tours carried out, resulting in issuing eight violation reports according to law no 8 for 1990 on the regulation of human food control. The inspectors ensured that the violations were removed and the violators modified their situation accordingly.
In the meantime, 28 random food samples were collected and sent to the laboratory for examination to ensure their safety for human consumption.
