Ashghal Sunday announced the completion of works on part of Jasim Bin Hamad Street Service Road at a length of 800m, along with the relevant infrastructure works on it as part of the 'Road Improvement Works (RIW) Project in Various Areas of Greater Doha, Phase 6B'.
The works involved 1.5km pedestrian paths, new lighting systems, 91 parking bays, surface water and rainwater drainage network (0.6km) and a new foul sewer network (0.6km), and directional signs and road markings.

Eng. Muneera Al-Mohannadi, Project Engineer in Ashghal, highlighted the importance of building a service road for a vital route like Jasim bin Hamad St., as it has high traffic and is connected to main roads like Khalifa St., Omar bin Al-Khattab St., and Al Jazira Al Arabiya St.
The service road will enhance traffic safety, regulating vehicular flow, and reducing traffic congestion on the main road. It also serves the nearby health and commercial facilities, as it provides easier access to these amenities & the residential areas, said Eng. Al-Mohannadi.
