* Draft aims to limit use of cash in some transactions
The Cabinet has approved a draft law regulating the use of cash in transactions and referred it to the Shura Council, Qatar News Agency (QNA) reports. The draft aims to limit the use of cash in some transactions, which exceed a certain amount, and avoid risks related to dealings in some areas, the report states.
This came at the Cabinet's regular meeting chaired by HE the Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Khalid bin Khalifa bin Abdulaziz al-Thani at the Amiri Diwan Wednesday.
Following the meeting, HE the Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs Mohamed bin Abdullah al-Sulaiti issued a statement giving the details of the proceedings.
This came at the Cabinet's regular meeting chaired by HE the Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Khalid bin Khalifa bin Abdulaziz al-Thani at the Amiri Diwan Wednesday.
Following the meeting, HE the Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs Mohamed bin Abdullah al-Sulaiti issued a statement giving the details of the proceedings.
The Cabinet approved Amiri decisions on the organisational structures of ministries, as well as a draft decision of HE the Minister of Commerce and Industry approving 121 regional technical regulations as Qatari technical regulations.
Further, the Cabinet approved a draft memorandum of understanding (MoU) on the establishment of a joint committee for co-operation between the governments of Qatar and Burundi; and a draft MoU for co-operation between the Public Prosecution of Qatar and the General's Prosecutor Office of Azerbaijan.
The meeting reviewed the following two issues and took the appropriate decision:
* The seventh annual report on the results of the work of the national explosives affairs committee from January 1, 2021, to December 31, 2021.
This committee has been established in the Ministry of Interior and is concerned with several specialisations, including providing advice to the competent government agencies in everything related to the issue of explosives and the raw materials used in their manufacture, and proposing regulations for controlling the import, export, production, processing and consumption of explosive materials listed in the law on weapons, ammunition, explosives and the mentioned substances.
* A report of the committee formed to prepare a study on chemicals and hazardous materials, dual-use materials and chemical precursors in Qatar, and its findings, visions and recommendations in this regard.
The Cabinet, through a presentation made by HE the President of the Civil Service and Government Development Bureau, reviewed the monthly report on the employment of Qataris through the Kawader platform and its statistics on the number of job seekers, the number of jobs available on the platform, and those appointed in these jobs.
HE the Prime Minister directed to work on facing challenges and applying appropriate solutions to appoint Qataris in various sectors via this platform.
