Many among ACS Doha International’s 2022 graduating class have gained acceptance into prestigious international universities, the school said on Monday.
The seventh graduation ceremony was attended by over 250 well-wishers including VIP guests, family members, faculty and friends. Among the dignitaries present were keynote speaker Melkart Rouhana, chief engagement officer of MRT Consultants, as well as several key corporate partners of ACS Doha.
A total of 42 students successfully completed their High School Diploma, and for many this included the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP), an extremely rigorous internationally recognised pre-university qualification.
"Having been a part of many of these students' lives over the past seven years at ACS Doha, and now watching them receive their diplomas and embark on the next chapter of their lives is bittersweet", stated Robert Cody, head of ACS International School Doha.
Among the students who graduated were award winners, who received special commendation. Apart from the valedictorian, Esme Moon Fairbrother and salutatorian Haneul Choi who were recognised for their exceptional academic performance, Community Service Award winner Sultan al-Mannai, Class Historian Award winner Rayan Nasrallah and The ACS Founders’ Award winner Nada Alaeddine were honoured.
Students who pursued the Career-related Programme (CP) and Advanced Placement (AP) courses found success in admissions in pursuing higher level studies in the arts at universities such as Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD), and New York School of Interior Design, while others secured admission to hospitality industry's well known Les Roches University in Switzerland.
ACS Doha currently offers students the opportunity to study globally-recognised and rigorous programmes with the IB Diploma and CP; AP courses, a US programme offering college-level curricula and exams to High School students, as well as the US High School Diploma.
