* Access to arrival and departure curbsides allowed only for authorised vehicles, such as limousines, taxis (Mowasalat) and those with Qatar Airways First and Business Class passengers
* Trial to take place from 10am to 12noon Monday, and from 3pm to 6pm Tuesday
* Short-term car park will be available free of charge for 2 hours during trial periods

As part of its preparations for the expected increase in passenger traffic this year and to preserve the security and safety for all, Hamad International Airport (HIA) has announced that it will activate a trial at the arrivals and departures curbside gates between 10am and 12noon Monday and between 3pm and 6pm Tuesday.
Access to the arrivals and departures curbsides will be restricted during the trial, and these areas will be accessible to authorised vehicles only, HIA said in a statement Sunday.
Authorised vehicles include limousines and taxis (Mowasalat) and those with Qatar Airways First and Business Class passengers.
Passengers and customers will have access to a free two-hour parking at the short-term car park during the trial period, with a free-of-charge porter service also available to assist departing travellers at the car park.
For drop-offs and pick-ups, passengers are asked to use the short-term parking facilities at the airport. If passengers and customers exceed the two-hour grace period, payments are advised to be made at the payment machines located inside the terminal, in order to avoid delays or inconvenience.
"HIA offers passengers a wide variety of transport options that seamlessly connects them between the airport and the city. The bus pavilion, taxi pavilion, Metro station, car parking, car rental and limousine services are all conveniently located within walking distance from the airport’s arrivals and departures hall. As always, HIA staff will be available to assist passengers round the clock," the statement added.
