The Institute of Integrated Electrical Engineers, Qatar Chapter held its hybrid mid-year conference, technical seminar and general membership meeting recently.
The event was attended by more than a hundred in-person participants and more than 200 online participants, mostly electrical practitioners in Qatar, the Middle East, and the Philippines.
The event was graced by the vice-consul of the Philippine Embassy in Doha, Monica Remsy Calangian, labour attache Adam A Musa and distinguished guest and speakers from the Philippines.
Topics presented by the resource speakers were: Certified Practicing Safety Professional Programme Requirement of Electrical Engineer by Professional Regulation Commission – Board of Electrical Engineers (PRC-BEE) member Jaime V Mendoza; Table of Specifications by PRC-BEE chairman Francis V Mapile; and Pre-energisation Tests of Distribution Transformer and LV Panels by Engr Glenn M Babiera, a regular technical speaker in Qatar.
All the resource speakers are experts in their fields and had a lively exchange of views and interactive discussions and question and answer sessions.
