The Qatar Radiation & Chemical Protection Department of the Ministry of Environment and Climate Change called on company owners not to leave vehicles transporting radioactive materials in public areas and undesignated places, otherwise they will face legal action.
The department said that they had detected a vehicle transporting radioactive materials in undesignated public places, and withdrew the company's licence in accordance with the Radiation Protection Law No 31 of 2002.
The ministry has recently urged the public to co-operate with it, and to report all environmental violations, by calling the unified call centre number 184, which works around the clock seven days a week.
