This year’s editions of Project Qatar and Hospitality Qatar, which will run until June 9 at the Doha Exhibition and Convention Centre (DECC), have been putting a premium on initiatives that support the future of Qatar.
The combined events by IFP Qatar saw its second day met with a positive response from the stakeholders from the construction and hospitality sectors, according to Haidar Mshaimesh, general manager of IFP Qatar.
The event carries the theme ‘One Show, Multiple Opportunities’ and has been attracting top leaders and decision-makers from the construction and hospitality sectors, Mshaimesh pointed out.
“We are pleased with our decision to combine the two most prominent exhibitions in the local market ahead of the 2022 FIFA World Cup. This has created opportunities for entities and exhibitors to act upon and build alliances, strengthening the construction and hospitality sectors in Qatar,” he also said.
According to Mshaimesh, Day 2 featured a training session titled ‘Designing Workplace 2.0 - Post-Pandemic Times & Beyond’ and was attended by stakeholders in the construction, hospitality, and tourism industry. The session was designed to create awareness of the impact of changing workplaces in the post-pandemic world and the opportunities they present, he said.
Hospitality Qatar hosted yesterday a ‘Salon Culinaire’ competition to test the skills of chefs from across Qatar in a live show. Chefs ranging from young and talented students to established culinary experts participated in the competition, highlighting the unique gastronomic skills that the industry has to offer.
The implementation of major projects by IFP Group across various sectors is in line with Qatar’s vision and National Development Strategy (NDS) 2017- 2022 aimed at creating a conducive atmosphere to foster private-public participation.
The group is taking into consideration all the development that Qatar is achieving and creating a platform that showcases and supports the opportunities for both local and international market players, Mshaimesh said.
The mega event features more than 300 exhibiting companies from over 180 global firms, seven of which participated in official national pavilions, along with 120 Qatari companies from major government and semi-governmental agencies and prominent private sector entities.
