Qatar University (QU) is preparing to host a number of football teams throughout the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022. The Argentinian and Spanish teams will be staying in the QU campus.
QU President Dr Hassan al-Derham said: “The University is currently preparing to host the Argentina and Spanish teams, who have both selected the Qatar University campus to be their choice of residence during the upcoming World Cup. The University hosts a number of distinguished sports facilities built in accordance with international and Olympic specifications, in addition to residential units equipped with the latest systems, in accordance with health and safety requirements.”
He added: “The University’s campus has world-class infrastructure and we are delighted and honoured to contribute to the success of the World Cup and demonstrate the country’s ability, and the institutions and its energy, in organising this world class event, which will be a truly memorable period.”
