The Ministry of Environment and Climate Change (MoECC) on Saturday organised a cleaning campaign for Al Nouf Beach in Al Thakhira area, in cooperation with the General Cleanliness Department of the Ministry of Municipality and Doha Bank, on the occasion of the World Environment Day under the slogan, 'Only One Earth.'
The campaign participants were able to collect more than 500kgm of waste, which was disposed safely.
MoECC called upon those who visit the beach and the island to protect them and ensure their cleanliness. The Ministry urged all not to throw waste in the sea and the beach so that marine creatures are not harmed.
