HE Ali bin Ahmed al-Kuwari, Minister of Finance, has participated in the annual meeting of the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB) Group.
During the meeting, which was held Center in Sharm El Sheikh, Egypt, the bank's 47th annual report on 2021 was discussed and audited accounts approved.
This year's bank group meetings are taking place against the backdrop of important economic and geopolitical developments characterised by the marked decline of the Covid-19 and renewed hope that the world will enter recovery.
The ministers of economy, planning and finance of the bank's member states participated in these meetings, as well as representatives of international and regional finance institutions, as well as representatives of Islamic banks, national development finance institutions, contractors; unions and consultants from OIC (Organisation of Islamic Co-operation) member states.
Meanwhile HE Minister of Finance met with the Minister of Finance of the Arab Republic of Egypt Dr Mohamed Maait, the Minister of Finance of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Mohammed bin Abdullah al-Jadaan, and the Minister of Finance and Treasury of the Republic of Turkey Nureddin Nebati, on the sidelines of his participation at the annual meeting of the Islamic Development Bank.
During these meetings, which were held separately, the relations between the State of Qatar and each of the three countries in the financial field were reviewed, aspects of joint co-operation and the most important economic and investment developments were discussed.
