Indian expatriate forum Bunts Qatar held its second blood donation camp recently. Out of 215 registered volunteers, 95 donated blood as per Hamad Medical Corporation's blood donation criteria. Indian embassy second secretary and Indian Community Benevolent Forum (ICBF) co-ordinator Dr Sona Soman was the chief guest. Bunts Qatar president Dr Padmashree Shetty welcomed the gathering. Indian Cultural Centre president P N Baburajan offered felicitations. Dr Rifat Salma, periodontist, Focus Medical Centre, spoke on the benefits of blood donation. ICBF president Vinod Nair spoke about the organisation's insurance plan. Naveen Shetty conducted the event. Bunts Qatar treasurer Manohar Shetty proposed a vote of thanks. Advisers Deepak Shetty, Navneeth Shetty, managing committee members, senior members and office-bearers of various Indian forums were also present.
