This week Qatar University (QU) held graduation ceremonies for more than 2,600 Class of 2022 female students from nine individual colleges.
The ceremonies were held for the 45th batch of graduates from the College of Education, College of Sharia and Islamic Studies, College of Engineering, College of Law, College of Health Sciences, College of Pharmacy, College of Medicine, College of Business and Economics and College of Arts and Sciences (mass communications, history, psychology, social work and sociology programmes, graduate studies, biology, environmental sciences, statistics, chemistry, sports sciences, mathematics, Arabic language, English literature and linguistics, international affairs, policy planning and development programmes).
The College of Education organised a graduation ceremony on May 28 morning for 515 female graduates in the presence of HE the Minister of Education and Higher Education Buthaina bint Ali al-Jabr al-Nuaimi and HE the Deputy Speaker of the Shura Council Dr Hamda al-Sulaiti as guests of honour.

The College of Sharia, College of Engineering and College of Law at Qatar University organised a graduation ceremony on May 28 evening. College of Sharia graduated 92, College of Engineering 196 and College of Law 286, taking the total number of female graduates to 574 from these three faculties this year.
College of Health Sciences, the College of Pharmacy and the College of Medicine organised a graduation ceremony May 29 morning. The ceremony featured 93 female graduates from the College of Health Sciences, 51 from the College of Pharmacy, and 46 from the College of Medicine.
The College of Business and Economics ceremony, on May 29 evening, saw the graduation of 503 female students in various specialisations. The largest college of QU, the College of Arts and Sciences, had its graduation ceremonies on Monday. There were a total of 985 graduates, in the morning and evening ceremonies.
The last graduation ceremony was graced by two guests of honour, Qatar Media Corporation CEO HE Sheikh Abdulaziz bin Thani bin Khalid al-Thani and HE Sheikha Hessa bint Khalifa bin Ahmed al-Thani, the Special Envoy of the Secretary-General of the Arab League for Humanitarian Affairs and Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Shafallah Center for Children with Special Needs.
