Al-Bahi Auction House will organise on June 7 the exhibition 'Peter Upton: Arabian Horses' and the Desert Auction in its headquarters at Katara - The Cultural Village (Building 22) at 7pm.
For the first time, Al-Bahi will be auctioning an impressive collection of 32 artworks by the renowned British artist Upton, local Arabic daily Arrayah reported.
Upton is best known for his paintings of Arabian horses and desert scenes, as well as an internationally renowned expert and arbitrator of Arabian horses, historian and author. He has published numerous articles in international magazines, as well as several books on Arabian horses, including his greatest work, The Arabian Horse.
Upton traveled extensively throughout the Arab region, producing detailed sketches during his travels which he uses as references for his paintings that ultimately give his work a unique look with quick artistic strokes and captivating compositions.
