The conference will discuss, through various committees or panel discussions a myriad of concerns associated with labour sector worldwide, including the possibility of amending the ILO Declaration on fundamental principles and rights at work to include safe and healthy working conditions, in addition to discussing the adoption of an international instrument on apprenticeships.
The committees will also discuss concepts of suitable work, social and solidarity economy, and the strategic objective of employment as part of the follow-up mechanism to the ILO Declaration on Social Justice for a Fair Globalisation.
The various committees of the conference will hold intensive meetings starting from May 30, while the plenary sessions will be held from June 6 to 11, the high-level summit will be held on June 10, and the conference will wrap up on June 11.
The delegation of each member state to the conference consists of two delegates from the government, one delegate from the employers, one delegate from the workers, in addition to their advisers, where the delegates of employers and workers are selected in agreement with the most representative national organisations of employers and workers.
