Qatar participated in the 38th meeting of the GCC general directors of traffic, which was held at the headquarters of the General Secretariat in Riyadh.
The meeting, in which the General Traffic Department participated, discussed a number of issues of common interest related to following up on the results and recommendations of the minutes of the 36th and 37th meetings, represented in the decisions of ministers of interior in the GCC countries, and the extent of work to implement them, in addition to reviewing the most important results of the team working on linking traffic violations. The participants also discussed topics, programs, plans and budgets for awareness and traffic safety among the General Traffic Departments, where the results of the unification project of programs to raise the efficiency of training and examination of drivers, systems and devices for tracking the behaviour of vehicle drivers in the GCC countries were presented.
