The Ministry of Interior (MoI) has said that the Civil Defense controlled a fire that broke out in an under-construction building in Lusail on Saturday.
The ministry said in a Tweet on its official account that there were no casualties as a result of the fire.
“The Civil Defence puts out a fire at a an under-construction building in Lusail area without casualties,” MoI said in a tweet.
Images and videos of black smoke coming out of the Crescent Tower in Lusail were shared on social media Saturday morning. Workers in the building were immediately evacuated, as per the account of a source present at the scene.
