The public has been invited to join HE the Minister of Public Health Dr Hanan Mohamed al-Kuwari and senior healthcare leaders Sunday, in the 'Walk the Talk: #HealthForAll Challenge'.
HE the Minister will participate in the initiative in Geneva, Switzerland, along with the Qatari delegation that will take part in the upcoming 75th session of the World Health Assembly. They will join thousands of people from the local community - and around the world - in a 3km or 4.2km distance walk, with the initiative aiming to encourage people to be physically and mentally active to support their health.
People of all ages and abilities can participate in the 'Walk the Talk: #HealthForAll Challenge' in person in Geneva or remotely from anywhere in the world by downloading the Walk the Talk mobile app.

The Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) has explained how to take part in the initiative in Qatar. The steps are as follows:
* Register online
* Download the Walk the Talk 2022 app
* Choose your own 3km or 4.2km route
* Get walking
* Share photographs of your participation on social media (#WalkTheTalk and #HealthForAll)
The MoPH has said there are many great walking locations to choose from across Qatar.
* Walk along the Corniche and enjoy Doha's famous skyline
* Walk through one of Qatar's many picturesque parks
* Walk in the cool environment at your favourite shopping mall

Meanwhile, HE Dr al-Kuwari will chair the delegation of Qatar to the World Health Assembly, which will be held from May 22-28 in Geneva. The assembly will hold its meeting under the slogan ‘Health for Peace, Peace for Health’, which is the first in-person health assembly since the start of the Covid-19 pandemic.
The World Health Assembly is the highest decision-making body in the World Health Organisation, and its meeting is attended by delegations from 194 member states and focuses on a specific health agenda prepared by the Executive Board.
During the World Health Assembly meeting, HE Dr al-Kuwari and the delegation of Qatar will participate in the main sessions and contribute to decision-making on health goals and strategies that will guide countries’ work in the field of public health, as well as the WHO Secretariat to push the world towards better health and well-being for all, according to the official Qatar News Agency.
