HE the Minister of Education and Higher Education Buthaina bint Ali al-Jabr al-Nuaimi visited Tuesday Al Kheesa Preparatory School, one of the new schools, as part of the partnership project with the private sector, which is being implemented by Barwa Real Estate Group in co-operation with the Public Works Authority (Ashghal).
The visit was aimed at finding out the development programme of Qatari schools according to the partnership project mentioned in its first phase, which included the establishment of eight schools distributed across Doha and its suburbs, within a geographical distribution that serves the areas of population concentration in the Qatari society.
The programme of the visit included a general tour of the school and a presentation of the partnership project presented by its director, Engineer Fatima Fadala al-Sulaiti, as well as a display of pictures illustrating the development of the educational environment in Qatar since its inception to the current situation.
The school's design is characterised by its modern nature and the application of international standards in terms of planning and development, in addition to following the latest systems through which buildings were constructed with materials that preserve the environment within the State's plan for green building systems.
The design also included classrooms from the perspective of Qatar and its educational plan to integrate students with special needs, besides 36 classrooms to accommodate 786 students. The buildings will be delivered in the current year, as planned through co-ordination with the Public Works Authority (Ashghal).
