Acknowledging the nurses' selfless services and highlighting the nobility of their profession, MES Indian School celebrated International Nurses Day on May 12. A special assembly saw students delivering speeches expressing gratitude to nurses for their unwavering commitment and compassion with which they take care of humanity.
As a tribute to the nurses, students adorned the class bulletin boards with colourful posters. A video presentation, role play, essay writing on the contributions made by the nurses during the Covid-19 pandemic, skit and other activities were organised.
Students dressed up as nurses and displayed cards and posters to highlight the vital role nurses play in a society. Teachers too attired in the white dress to show solidarity and gratitude to the professionals in the nursing field. Principal Hameeda Kadar spoke. Students honoured the school nurses Shiju Sebastian, Gincy Wilson and Praseela Augustine with bouquets, gifts and ‘Thank You’ cards.
