The first meeting of the Political Consultation Committee between Qatar and Iran was held yesterday in the Iranian capital Tehran.
HE the Secretary-General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Dr Ahmed bin Hassan al-Hammadi, headed the Qatari side while Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister for Political Affairs Dr Ali Bagheri, headed his country's side.
During the meeting, they discussed bilateral relations and ways to support and develop them, in addition to a number of issues of common interest. At the conclusion of the meeting, the minutes of the first meeting of the Political Consultation Committee between Qatar and Iran were signed. The meeting was attended by Qatar's ambassador to Iran Mohamed bin Hamad al-Hajri, Director of Asian Affairs Department at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Yousef bin Sultan Laram, and the accompanying delegation.
