Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky described the signing of a law by his US counterpart Joe Biden that allows speeding up the transfer of military materials, equipment and weapons to his country as a "historic step."
"Grateful to US President Joe Biden and US people for supporting Ukraine in the fight for our freedom and future. Today's signing of the law on Lend-Lease is a historic step," Zelensky said in statements carried by the Ukrainian National News Agency (Ukrinform).
On Monday, Biden signed a law to speed up the transfer of military materials, equipment and weapons to Ukraine, in light of the continuous Russian military escalation against it since February. 24.
