The  Department of Meteorology on Saturday said the country will be affected by northwesterly fresh to strong wind from Sunday, May 8, until the end of the week. 

The wind speed may range between 12-22 kt with gusting exceeding 30 kt at times causing blowing dust and   reduced horizontal visibility. The visibility may fall to 2 km at places and may even become zero at times, the Met Department warned.

Sea waves offshore will range between 3-8ft rising to 10ft at places. The Meteorology Department urged all to be careful during the unstable weather and follow the latest updates through our official accounts.
