The Qatar Indian Social Forum hosted Eid-al-Fitr celebrations featuring performances that depicted the cultural heritage of the Indian community.
Skits, folk songs, martial arts and traditional cultural items from different Indian states in different languages were presented under the theme 'Celebrating Unity in Diversity'.

 
General secretary Usman said the forum upholds a sense of unity among Indians. President Ayyub Ullal launched the forum's website and delivered the Eid message. Indian Cultural Centre vice-president Subramanya Hebbagelu handed over the 'Abdul Latheef Madikkeri Memorial Humanitarian Activist Award' for 2022 to Basheer Ahamed, a functionary of the forum's Tamil Nadu unit. The programme paid tribute to the veteran leader Abdul Latheef Madikkeri, who passed away in April last year.
Indian Community Benevolent Forum vice-president Vinod Nair handed over medals to the participants. Ullal handed over the 'Award of Appreciation' to Mohamed Ameen bin Thaisser, who became the 'Fastest Kid to recite' all elements of the Periodic table.
The meet brought together more than 20 community leaders representing various Indian states. General secretary Saeed Kommachi proposed a vote of thanks.
