Doha Bank has reported a 5.6% year-on-year increase in net profit to QR401mn in the first quarter (Q1) of this year.
Total assets amounted to QR101.8bn. Net loans and advances stood at QR60bn and customer deposits at QR54.5bn at the end of March 31, 2022.
"Despite the circumstances the world is currently witnessing, it is that, under the wise leadership pursued by His Highness the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani, and his directives to provide support to all sectors and banks in Qatar in the face of the Covid-19 crisis, and based on the instructions issued by Qatar Central Bank in this regard, Doha Bank will make all efforts to be a main pillar in supporting companies and individuals in benefiting from all possible facilities, and will work in line with the plan pursued by Qatar," Doha Bank chairman Sheikh Fahad bin Mohamed bin Jabor al-Thani.
Sheikh Abdul Rehman bin Mohamed bin Jabor al-Thani, managing director of Doha Bank, said, the total shareholder’s equity by end of quarter reached QR14bn.
"The bank continued to strengthen its key capitalisation ratios, where its total capital adequacy ratio increased to 19.8% in March 2022 from 19.7% compared to the same period last year,” he added.
