Doha Festival City donated 500 boxes with essential Ramadan food supplies to mall services personnel, workers in the Industrial Area and other locations, and to the low-income families in Qatar, with the support of Qatar Charity (QC).
Each box included basic food staples which can feed up to three people. While 150 boxes were donated to the mall services personnel, 350 were delivered to labour camps and families in need.
Doha Festival City onsite team included volunteers from the mall’s staff, as well as general manager Robert Hall, assistant general manager Hazem Murad, and senior marketing manager, Nehal Maher. They worked alongside QC's head of projects at the Local Development Department, Farid al-Siddiqi and marketing and external affairs manager, Salah al-Mahmoud.
Fatima al-Mohannadi, director of Local Programmes and Community Development at QC, valued Doha Festival City's collaboration in the 'Ramadan of Hope' Campaign with QC.
She stressed that QC is keen on involving companies and institutions in charities to give back to the community, noting that successful co-operation with companies, institutions, and members of society is considered the basis of the success of charity and volunteer work at the local level.
