The Cabinet on Wednesday approved its draft decision to amend some provisions of the executive regulations of the Civil Human Resources Law.
The amendment provides for an increase in the value of the marriage advance to a maximum of QR300,000 for all Qatari employees instead of QR100,000 (current marriage advance), in order to encourage Qatari youth to marry and help them in this regard.
HE the Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Khalid bin Khalifa bin Abdulaziz Al-Thani chaired the Cabinet's regular meeting held at its seat at the Amiri Diwan.
After the Cabinet listened to the explanation given by HE the Minister of Public Health Dr Hanan Mohamed al-Kuwari on the latest developments to limit the spread of the coronavirus (Covid-19), it was affirmed to continue with the precautionary measures that have been taken to combat the pandemic.
The Cabinet also considered other topics on the agenda as follows: *Approval of a draft decision of the Minister of Interior on specifying the entry and exit ports to the country.
*Approval of a draft decision of HE the Minister of Education and Higher Education on amending some provisions of Resolutions No. 20 of 2021 and No. 2 of 2022, regarding the annual calendar of schools for the academic years 2021/2022 and 2022/2023.
*Approval of appointing a judge at Qatar International Court (QICDRC) for a period of five years, and determining their remuneration.
*Approval of Qatar Fund for Development (QFFD) joining the Multilateral Organisation Performance Assessment Network (MOPAN).
*Approval of a voluntary contribution to the Environment Fund to finance the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP).
*Approval of a draft agreement on mutual administrative assistance for the optimal implementation of customs law and the suppression, investigation and control of customs crimes between the governments of Qatar and Azerbaijan.
* The Cabinet reviewed the following topics and took the appropriate decision in their regard:
1.The first periodic report on the results of the National Counter-Terrorism Committee's work.
2. The outcomes of the 66th session of the Commission on the Status of Women (CSW) of the United Nations Economic and Social Council (New York - March 2022).
