The Ministry of Education and Higher Education (MoEHE) has announced the opening of early electronic registration and transfer in public schools for the next academic year 2022-2023, starting from April 24 to June 9, through the public services portal on the ministry's website.
Director of Schools Affairs in the Education Affairs Sector of the Ministry, Ali Jassim Al Kuwari, revealed in a press statement that there are more than 129,248 students in government schools for the current year 2021-2022, an increase of 2.63 percent over the previous year.
He explained that the number of new students enrolled for the current academic year amounted to 14,766, including 5,833 students transferred from private schools to government schools.
In addition, the Schools Affairs Department issued a circular to all government schools and kindergartens to open the registration door next week, and explained that early registration will be electronic, and that the guardians will be notified by an email indicating the completion of the early registration process for students.
The Schools Affairs Department noted that the early registration process takes place in two periods. The first period will be available to Qataris, children born to Qatari mothers and children of citizens of the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf, from April 24 to June 9, 2022, while the second period will be from May 15 to 26 for all nationalities.
