Team Qatar shooting members exhibited high shooting skills in the closing competitions of the shotgun event of the fourth edition of 2022 Nishan Vodafone Ramadan Tournament being held at the Lusail Shooting Range.
This community tournament is being organized under the patronage of the Qatar Olympic Committee (QOC) president, HE Sheikh Joaan bin Hamad al-Thani from April 3 to 19 with the participation of more than 500 competitors (amateurs and professionals).
In the latest shogun competitions, Qatar’s Mohamed Ahmed al-Rumaihi retained his place at the top of the standings with a tally of 528 points ahead of teammates Khalifa Ali Mohamed Abdalla al-Attiyiah (in the second place with 489 points) and Masaoud Saleh al-Ezbah (in third place with 487 points).
In the women’s professional category (shotgun event), Team Qatar star Reem Al Sharshani heads the standings with 488 points while Sara Gholam Ali grabbed the runners-up spot (467 points). The third place went to Amna Ali al-Sheerawai (449 points).
In the shogun event in men’s amateur, Bar Kifah al-Yousef claimed the first place with a tally of 445 points while Rashid Ghanem al-Hajiri finished in second place (444 points). Hernan Fernandez clinched the third place (439 points). No change was witnessed in the women’s amateur standings (shogun event). Mona Naser Faraj al-Nubi leads the standings with 426 points while Maha Saieed Abdulhai is in second place (410 points). The third place was secured by Aysha Abdulhai (407 points).
The tournament is being conducted to discover talented athletes in the country, QOC said before the event began. Qatar is continuously looking to harness young talent in every sport.
