Ooredoo is working in partnership with Qatar Charity (QC) to share the spirit of Ramadan with the less fortunate during the holy month, as part of a corporate social responsibility initiative. In collaboration with QC, the leading telecommunications operator is helping to distribute Iftar boxes to workers in the Mukaynis area. Ooredoo’s sponsorship covers the distribution of some 12,000 Iftar boxes for the entire month of Ramadan, with an average of 400 daily.
In keeping with its drive to promote sustainability, Ooredoo has added stickers to the boxes to remind everyone of the importance of keeping the country clean to protect the environment. Sabah Rabiah al-Kuwari – Director PR at Ooredoo -- said: “We’re delighted to be working with our longstanding partner, Qatar Charity, to ensure those who work so hard for our city and country have an iftar meal with which to break their fast each day. We hope everyone is enjoying a peaceful, blessed and safe Ramadan, and thank all the workers for their efforts.”
