More than 600 people attended an Iftar meet organised by Qatar Vanimal Pravasi Forum (QVPF), a socio-cultural organisation of expatriates from the southern Indian state of Kerala at Asian Town Cricket Stadium recreation hall. The American Hospital Doha provided free medical checkups. Renowned Islamic scholar Saleem Rahmani Kalikavu delivered a keynote address. QVPF general secretary Subair K K said the forum has been organising Iftar meet-up for the past two decades. President Shammas Kalathil presided over the programme, which was attended by C K Kunhabdulla Master, M K Kunhabdulla, and other prominent members of the forum.
