The Ministry of Commerce and Industry, in co-operation with the Ministry of Interior, has conducted a joint inspection campaign at garages in Sailiya Al Attiyah.
A total of 10 violation reports were issued against garages for carrying out commercial activities without obtaining the required licensing.
These inspection campaigns are part of the ministry's efforts to protect consumer rights and to monitor the extent of compliance with the laws and regulations governing the commercial sector.
The ministry stressed that it would not tolerate any negligence in meeting obligations stipulated in Law No (5) of 2015 on Commercial, Industrial, and Similar Public Shops, and Street Vendors.
The ministry is working to intensify its inspection campaigns to control violating practices, and to refer violators of laws and ministerial decisions to the relevant authorities to take the appropriate measures.
