Doha has been included as one of the examination centres for the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (MBBS) Undergraduate Examination for Indian students. In a tweet on Wednesday, the Indian embassy said: "Doha has been included as one of the exam centres for NEET (MBBS) Undergraduate Exam 2022 to be held on July 17. We thank the National Testing Agency for acceding to the request of NRI students from Qatar."
A total of 14 cities outside India have been selected as NEET centres. These are Doha (Qatar), Abu Dhabi (UAE), Bangkok (Thailand), Colombo (Sri Lanka), Dubai (UAE), Kathmandu (Nepal), Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia), Kuwait City (Kuwait), Lagos (Nigeria), Manama (Bahrain), Muscat (Oman), Riyadh (Saudi Arabia), Sharjah (UAE) and Singapore.
However, the name of the centre in Doha is yet to be announced. The National Testing Agency (NTA) is inviting online applications for NEET (UG) – 2022 for admission to undergraduate medical courses in all medical institutions in India. According to Section 14 of the National Medical Commission Act, 2019, the NEET (UG) has to be conducted as a common and uniform NEET (UG) for admission to undergraduate medical education in all medical institutions, including those governed under any other law in force.
The online submission of application forms will take until May 6 (until 11.50pm India time, or 9.20pm Qatar time). Candidates can apply for NEET (UG) - 2022 through the 'Online' mode only on the website, https://neet.nta.nic.in/
Submission of the online application form may be done by accessing the NTA website at https://neet.nta.nic.in/
The application form in any other mode will not be accepted. Also, only one application is to be submitted by a candidate.
Candidates must ensure that the e-mail address and mobile number provided in the online application form are their own or parents'/guardians' only as all information/communication will be sent by NTA through e-mail on the registered e-mail address or SMS on the registered mobile number only.
