The Shura Council held Monday its regular weekly meeting, under the chairpersonship of HE Speaker of the Council Hassan bin Abdullah Al Ghanim.
At the beginning of the session, HE Speaker of the Council, on behalf of himself and the Council members, extended his highest congratulations and blessings to HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani on the occasion of the blessed month of Ramadan, wishing His Highness good health and happiness, and to Qatar and its honorable people and residents more prosperity and development under the wise leadership of His Highness, and to the Arab and Islamic nations security, peace and stability.
At the beginning of the deliberations, HE Secretary-General of the Shura Council Dr. Ahmed bin Nasser Al Fadhala read out the agenda of the session. The minutes of the previous session were ratified.
During the session, the Council completed its discussions of the organizational structure and personnel regulations for the Council. After extensive discussions, the Council approved the structure and personnel regulations.
Afterward, HE Speaker of the Council briefed Council members on the visit of HE President of the Republic of Kosovo Vjosa Osmani to the Shura Council, as part of her visit to the country. HE noted that his meeting with Her Excellency dealt with the relations between the two friendly countries and people and ways to strengthen them, especially in the field of parliamentary cooperation.
The Council members also reviewed a report on the participation of the Council delegation in the work of the 11th Congress of the Association of Senates, Shoora, and Equivalent Councils in Africa and the Arab World (ASSECAA) held in the Moroccan capital Rabat on March 3 and 4.
